Glass for yachts

We specialise in the production of glass for yachts: we handle every phase, from survey to production, up to the installation.
We provide the shipping Register management service to test the safety and strength of the glass in order to ensure an excellent product.

Processing and products

Yacht glass must meet precise requirements in terms of safety, comfort, and aesthetics. Thanks to our in-house equipment, we are able to carry out all the necessary processes to produce glass that meet these needs, in particular:

  • bending
  • thermal tempering and hardening
  • chemical hardening
  • serigraphy
  • lamination

We produce shaped, heated, laminated, and safety glass capable of providing exceptional performance in terms of strength, aesthetics, thermal and acoustic insulation.

Our glass for yachts includes:

  • windscreen and side glass
  • flat and curved side glass
  • tempered glass
  • portholes and small windows
  • interior glass

Yacht refitting

We also offer refitting for yachts, a significant activity that can change the very essence of a boat, offering a 360° turnkey service. Our coordination with the classification bodies and the experience of our technical department allow us to make each boat more up-to-date and technological: reduced weights, greater transparency, and UV and I.R. filters can substantially improve consumption and comfort, whilst renewing the aesthetics.

CASE STUDY · REFIT

M/Y Just Cause

Request: a complete glazing refit carried out in France: redesigning and replacing the yacht’s glass, managing the entire project through to installation on board.

Engineering: developing the new glass and defining technical solutions to integrate it into the existing yacht, in close coordination with the shipyard.

Production and installation: manufacturing the new glazing and installing it on board. A complete project, from engineering to final installation, requiring attention to detail and careful management of the challenges of a refit.

CASE HISTORY

NEW BUILD

Adriatic Shipyard – M/Y Ocean Angel

For Ocean Angel, a new build by Adriatic Shipyard, we manufactured all the vessel’s glazing, managing the project from the onboard survey through to production.

Each stage was tailored to the yacht’s requirements, from surveying its geometry and developing the glazing solutions to manufacturing each individual panel. We used the best technologies for weight reduction, with the aim of combining lightness, strength and optical quality.

The shipyard. Adriatic Shipyard’s story began with the Ballarin family’s passion for the sea. The Venetian entrepreneurs entered the boating industry in the 1990s and later acquired part of the historic shipyard in Chioggia. This journey led to Adriatic Shipyard and Ocean King, its yacht brand. Today, a new generation is taking the business forward through investment in technology and new production facilities.

Tankoa – M/Y Diamond Binta

Request: manufacture and install all exterior glazing, pool glass and balustrades for a 58-metre fully custom superyacht, combining the project’s aesthetic requirements with safety and optical quality.
Design: developing bespoke solutions for each application, with particular attention to large glazing panels and the all-glass pool, which required thick, high-strength glass.
Production and installation: manufacturing and installing all exterior glazing, pool glass and balustrades on board. Working in close coordination with the shipyard throughout every stage through to final installation, meeting the required quality standards and deadlines.

VENETIAN BOATBUILDING / WATER LIMOUSINE

Cantieri Vizianello — GV30 Thunder

In the finest Venetian boatbuilding tradition, GV30 Thunder by Cantieri Vizianello reinterprets the lagoon launch as a contemporary water limousine. The design is by Nuvolari Lenard.

A partially sliding glass roof opens the passenger cabin to the outdoors. The glazing helps define the boat’s character, bringing together natural light, views and continuity with the lines of the superstructure.

Tecnomar for Lamborghini

Request: a windscreen that meets the boat's speed requirements.
Design: a large windscreen designed to be lightweight and durable. The best of the applicable technology is concentrated in a thickness of just a few millimetres.
Production: the gravity bending technology, the chemical hardening and the combination of interlayer details made it possible to achieve the objective, guaranteeing excellent performance and optical results.

Next Yacht AB100

Request: large glass with extreme curvature.
Design: large and lightweight glass with complicated curvature. Technical focus on the two curved planes, which had to ensure continuity with the side while guaranteeing excellent optics.
Production: studies into newly designed bending equipment and gravity bending made it possible to achieve the result requested by the customer.
