Design: a large windscreen designed to be lightweight and durable. The best of the applicable technology is concentrated in a thickness of just a few millimetres.
Production: the gravity bending technology, the chemical hardening and the combination of specific interlayer made it possible to achieve the goal, guaranteeing excellent performance and optical results.
Request: large glass with extreme curvature.
Design: large and lightweight glass with complicated curvature. Technical focus on the two curved planes, which had to ensure continuity with the side while guaranteeing excellent optics.
Production: studies into newly designed bending equipment and gravity bending made it possible to achieve the result requested by the customer.
